FREE Outdoor Summer Concerts in Great Barrington

Free outdoor concerts at the gazebo behind Town Hall at 334 Main Street in Great Barrington on Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:30 pm to 7:15 pm. Concerts are on a weather-permitting basis, and masks & social distancing are required.

Drive-In Movies

Berkshire International Film Festival (Lenox) – The Berkshire Drive-In, on the campus of Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, shows films Thursday through Sunday nights starting July 23. Tickets are $15 per person. Find the schedule at biffma.org/drive-ins
Berkshire Theatre Group Sunset Cinema (Pittsfield) – Family friendly movies in the comfort and safety of your vehicle at the Taconic High School Parking Lot. A food truck will be on site with concession offerings. To purchase tickets ($25 per car) or view the calendar, go to berkshiretheatregroup.org/calendar
Mahaiwe (Great Barrington) – On the campus of Bard College at Simon’s Rock, the Mahaiwe presents drive-in movies Thursday through Saturday nights. Tickets are $25 per vehicle and MUST per purchased in advance. Concessions will be available from SoCo Creamery and Berkshire Food Co-op. Find out more at www.mahaiwe.org

Outdoor Dining

On Friday and Saturday evenings in Great Barrington, the traffic lane on Railroad Street is narrowed to make way for on-street outdoor dining (weather permitting).

Places to Hike

Bidwell House in Monterey has grounds that are open daily for free self-guided tours, and a map is downloadable from the website here.
The grounds of Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge and the Clark in Williamstown are open for walking (please be aware that restroom use may be limited to ticket holders, see websites for details).
Naumkeag and Chesterwood, both in Stockbridge, each have an outdoor tour with the purchase of a parking pass (separate for each museum)

Outdoor Adventures
The Arial Adventure Park and the Catamount Zip Tour, including the biggest zip line in North America, are open at Catamount Mountain Resort daily except Tuesdays. Find tickets at catamountski.com
Spirit Ballooning has balloon rides over the beautiful landscapes of the Southern Berkshires. Masks are required and each party will need to book their own tour (shared tours for multiple parties have been discontinued for safety.) Book online at spiritballooning.com
