Cassandra M. Houle, CPA has been named Associate Manager of Audit Services at Adelson & Company PC, an accounting firm located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, specializing in audit, tax and advisory services. Gary Moynihan, president of the firm, made the announcement.
Miss Houle, a certified public accountant, has been with the firm since 2016. She graduated from the Bay Path University in 2016, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Accounting. Cassandra earned her CPA license in July of 2018.
“Cassandra’s expediency in passing the uniform CPA exam and proficiency in the firm’s audit department has accelerated her advancement to Associate Manager that includes a path to director”, Moynihan said.
Miss Houle currently oversees several large audit engagements including audits of not-for-profits, voluntary health and welfare organizations, local government agencies including municipalities, districts, and other authorities, and private corporations.
Directors at Adelson and Company PC are now: Gary Moynihan, Carol Leibinger-Healey, David Irwin and Allison Bedard. Vincent Viscuso, and Richard LaFleche, former directors, maintain and of counsel relationship with the firm. The firm, which began in 1938, employs ten accountants, six of whom are CPAs, and three administrative associates.
Miss Houle is a Berkshire County native, who currently resides in Housatonic.
