Lee, Mass. – December 16 – The Literacy Network of South Berkshire (LitNet) has been selected as a beneficiary of the Big Y Community Bag Program. ‘Big Y Cares’ is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
LitNet was selected as the December beneficiary of the program by the Lee Store Director, Dominic Fortini. Throughout the month of December, LitNet will automatically receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location. For all other Big Y stores, bag buyers can go on-line and choose LitNet via the ‘Giving Tag’ as the beneficiary at any time.
LitNet’s Board President, Marianne Deignan Ellrodt, shared, “We are thrilled that the Big Y offers this opportunity to support LitNet while supporting the environment.”
